Commentary

As Thorn 2005 shows, tomb N 197 Cassels is called erroneously N 198 by Rowe – Rowe – Healy 1959, who had partly excavated it, without mentioning the inscriptions.

The date is inferred from Rowe's finds. Cassels' diplomatic transcription corresponds to such a date, whereas another name, engraved above the central door, has cursive omegas and should be of Roman date (whence IRCyr2020 C.577).
