Source description
Support: White marble base which supported a half-statue found nearby; base with plain mouldings above and below; on its top a hole and a channel for pouring in lead (complete w: 0.926 × h: 0.398 × d: 0.69).
Layout: Inscribed on the face between the mouldings (w: 0.818 × h: 0.257).
Letters: L. 1 0.057, l. 20.052-0.063; sigma with neatly slanting strokes, slight serifs.
Date: Second half of third century BC (lettering).
Findspot: Found in 1971 at Cyrene ➚: South Necropolis, tomb S 388 Cassels.
Place of origin: Findspot.
Last recorded location: Studied in 1972 by Gasperini in situ, in the South Necropolis. Not seen by IGCyr team.

Commentary
Gasperini thought this epitaph to be the oldest one in the tomb. Mnasistrata's younger brother would be Aristoteles son of Nebrichos (IGCyr0847002).
