Support: Fragment of wall of an Attic black-glazed ware open vase (w: 0.03 × h: 0.035 × d: 0.004).
Layout: Scratched on the outside.
Letters: 0.021; lambda with shorter right leg.
Date: First half of the fifth century BC (lettering).
Findspot: Found in 1959 at Cyrene ➚: agora, below East Stoa.
Place of origin: Findspot.
Last recorded location: Cyrene Museum, Storeroom of the Italian missions, A59 L1 58. Observed by R. Leone between 1997 and 2005 in Shahat: Storeroom of the Italian missions. Not seen by IGCyr team.

Commentary
Although no ceramological datation is possible for this very fragmentary sherd, the date proposed on behalf of the lettering fits well the archaeological context of the sounding 1959, which evidenced the building of the third retaining wall East of the agora (see Stucchi 1965, pp. 109-110).
