Support: Fragmentary marble panel, broken on all sides but at bottom (w: 0.09 × h: 0.07 × d: 0.015).
Layout: Inscribed on front face.
Letters: 0.02; poorly cut, slight serifs, non-slanting sigma.
Date: Second century BC (lettering).
Findspot: Bought by H.F. De Cou in 1911 from an Arab at Cyrene ➚: exact findspot unknown.
Place of origin: Findspot.
Last recorded location: Seems to be lost.

Commentary
This poor fragment is far from clear. At l. 1, there is no punct which might support Robinson's interpretation of a Latin praenomen Μ(ᾶρκος) preceding a name such as Βάσσος. Marengo's suggestion of the word for 'king' is much more convincing, although the rest is still unclear.
