Layout: Inscribed or rather scratched on the rim, which is partly broken off below (w: 0.11 × h: 0.032), to be read from outside.

Letters: 0.02; awkwardly and superficially cut with irregular interval.

Date: Plausibly third or second century BC (lettering).

Findspot: Found before 1979 at Cyrene ➚: exact findspot unrecorded.

Place of origin: Findspot.

Last recorded location: Cyrene Museum, 100. Seen by C. Dobias-Lalou in 1979 in Shahat, Cyrene Museum.

Commentary

In contrast with all the other inscriptions on the rim of basins (IGCyr108900² to IGCyr120500²), which were cut skillfully in workshops, this one looks rather like a graffito. The mention of the tithe might either have been added when the offering was already placed in the sanctuary or be the result of a later appropriation.
