Support: Rock-cut tomb with eight loculi, (dimensions unknown).
Layout: Inscribed on the lintel over loculus 8 with the last three letters extending beyond the surround.
Letters: Height unknown; no description of the lettering.
Date: Presumably Hellenistic (context).
Findspot: Copied by J. Thorn in 2002 at Cyrene ➚: North Necropolis, in the area of tomb N362 Cassels, terrace 3 (Thorn).
Place of origin: Findspot.
Last recorded location: Not seen by IGCyr team.

Commentary
We suppose this inscription to date from the Hellenistic period. Kephalion is already attested in Cyrenaica and other names deriving from that of the river Kaphisos are already attested too. This one is a compound in -δωρος, of which we have many examples that may be explained by the fact that rivers were considered deities. It means 'gift of the Kaphisos'.
