Commentary
The deity named Ἄναξ was hypothetically identified with Aristeus by Santucci. Dobias-Lalou's proposal to identify him with Castor (Dobias-Lalou 2006, pp. 94-95; SEG, 56.2024) is now obsolete (see Dobias-Lalou 2016, p. 171).
