Commentary

It is not clear whether the console shape corresponds, as supposed by Oliverio, to a re-use later than the inscription. The phiale might have stood on the console near the inscription, which would have been readable if the console was not fixed too high.

The priest of Apollo with whom Anaxilea was priestess is very plausibly the one recorded in the account of damiergoi IGCyr014300² with the same name and only the first letter of the father's name, whence the date proposed by Rosamilia 2023. for this father's name, Dobias-Lalou at IGCyr looked for a short name and suggested Πόλων. Rosamilia, finding this restoration too short, suggested rather the typically Cyrenaican name Πολιάνθης, which in turn is rather long. In fact, there are also other names beginning with Πο and the question should perhaps remain open.
