Source description

Support: Limestone altar with a square compartment on top and a small projecting moulding below the upper edge (w: 0.45 × h: 0.35 × d: 0.44).

Layout: Inscribed on front face (w: 0.42), at 0.04 under the moulding.

Letters: 0.03; non-slanting sigma, smaller omicron.

Date: Probably third century BC (lettering).

Findspot: Found in 1933 by G. Oliverio at Cyrene: Sanctuary of Apollo, East of the Wall of Nicodamos.

Place of origin: Findspot.

Last recorded location: Seen by D. Morelli in 1960 in the Sanctuary of Apollo. Seen by C. Dobias-Lalou in 2010 in the Sanctuary of Apollo, at findspot.
