Layout: Inscribed on the surface below the upper moulding (h: 0.07 × d: 0.25).

Letters: 0.015 to 0.017; gamma with very large upper bar, rho with large loop, slanting sigma; thickening ends of letters.

Date: Third century BC (lettering).

Findspot: Found before 1993 in a votive depot South of Cyrene ➚: in the area of the Wadi el Aish.

Place of origin: Cyrene ➚.

Last recorded location: Cyrene Museum, inv. number unknown. Seen in 1993 by C. Dobias-Lalou in Shahat: Cyrene Museum.

Commentary

As sigma, the only letter surviving from line 2, can end neither the verb of dedication nor the name of the deity to whom an offering is made, it is most plausible that this line had another personal name with father's name. If so, the first person was honoured by the second one. However this is only a plausible guess.
