Commentary
The layout, with an inscription beginning well under the upper level and a small space before the beginning of the name at l. 1, contrasting with the absence of space between name and father's name at l. 2 might induce to consider this inscription as honorary, with Theochrestos as father's name of the honoree whose name at the accusative would be missing at l. 1, while the name and father's name of the person responsible for the erection of the image would stay at l. 2 at the nominative. But it is difficult to push this too far ahead.
Θεόχρηστος is the common Greek form of the name, in opposition with the dialectal Θεύχρηστος. The only pre-Roman use of the common form is attested for a priest of Apollo at the same period (IGCyr0948002). This might be a mention of the same man.
There are several possibilities for names beginning with Κυνι, amongst which the most common is Κυνίσκος. None is hitherto attested in Cyrenaica.
