Commentary
This base, copied in 1981 by members of the French archaeological mission at Apollonia who were walking through the West Necropolis of Cyrene, was never seen again and does not seem to have been brought to the Department of Antiquities.
Although Aiglanor is a very common name at Cyrene, it seems plausible on behalf of the lettering that this Aiglanor son of Nikaios was related to Nikaios son of Aiglanor mentioned as commander of a batallion of paraibatai in the list IGCyr0840002 at line 123. However if ever the relation is plausible, we cannot decide whether our Aiglanor was the father or the son of the commander.
