Support: White marble base broken off at left and back, with an oval hollow on top (w: 0.283 × h: 0.12).

Layout: Inscribed on front.

Letters: 0.022; broad eta, non-slanting sigma.

Date: Perhaps, second half or beginning of first centuries BC

Findspot: Found in 1911, Norton Expedition, at Cyrene: Acropolis, in the Peristyle Building.

Place of origin: Findspot.

Last recorded location: Probably lost.

Commentary

Inscriptions including the words heros/heroissa are not many in Cyrenaica. Most of them are votive reliefs. For another base, see IRCyr2020 C.397 and the reliefs with heroized riders IRCyr2020 C.466, IRCyr2020 C.467 and probably IGCyr1186002.
