Commentary

C. Dobias-Lalou thought that because of the bad light and of growing trees, she was never able to see those two sister inscriptions, whereas the more developed dedication IGCyr017900² is much more conspicuous. E. Rosamilia neither could find it. If its support is really preserved, the inscription may have disappeared because of natural decay.

Rosamilia 2023 reminds that, as Stucchi 1975, p. 59 put it, this inscription might refer only to the dedication of metal objects which were inserted into the marble cornices and not to the marble covering of the whole altar, to which IGCyr017900² surely refers.
