Commentary

Ferri (Ferri 1923, p. 14) wondered whether Εὐεργε was the beginning of a divine epithet or of a personal name. However, in this area Zeus is only called Μηλίχιος, whereas the personal name Εὐεργέτας, although not attested in Cyrenaica, is quite plausible and would fit the context better.
