Support: Fragment of a medium-grained white marble base (w: 0.105 × h: 0.035 × d: 0.053).

Layout: Inscribed on the only surviving surface.

Letters: 0.02; no visible serifs.

Date: Perhaps third century BC (lettering).

Findspot: Found in 1973 at Cyrene: Enclosed sanctuary of Demeter and Kore: SouthWest Sondage, IA,4.

Place of origin: Findspot.

Last recorded location: Cyrene Museum (Storeroom of the American excavations), 73-413. Seen by J. Reynolds at Shahat: in the Storeroom of the American excavations. Not seen by IGCyr team.

Commentary

We follow Reynolds' transcription, which cannot yet be checked on a photograph. The unclear mu at line 1 followed by a space would be puzzling, as no Greek word ends with a mu.
