Commentary

For arguments against restoring the Tenians at line 15, see Brun 1993 and Dobias-Lalou 2000, p. 264. Rosamilia 2023 argues that the reading is possible. However, this part of the stone has been completely obliterated with cement and he may have relied only on photographs dating from Oliverio's time, which were often touched up. The question should perhaps remain open.

For arguments against restoring the Lesbians at line 16, see Brun 1993 and Dobias-Lalou 2000, p. 263. Rosamilia 2023's reading is the more convincing that the the first alpha in the lacuna seems to be perceptible through the cement on our photograph. If this is no fantasy, we should have here mention of the city of Lepreon in Triphylia. Its ethnic is known from Thucydides and Xenophon in a form which perfectly fits the Cyrenaican dialect (no contraction between short e and !).

At line 54, we read the ethnic of the Cretan city of Elyros, the name of which fluctuates between Ἔλυρος and Ἴλυρος (see Dobias-Lalou 2000, p. 263).

At line 58, owing to the space available, the only possible letter missing at the beginning of the line should be an iota. The ethnic Ἰκετύριος refers to no city known up to now. Oliverio's suggestion of Tyrians from Ako is impossible.
