Commentary

Oliverio provides a letter-height of 0.018, which seems too much; admitting that the stone's measures were right, we give our estimation for the letters.

A large part of this inscription is restored with help of the parallel formulation of the other accounts.

Additional commentary for IGCyr2: Rosamilia 2023 offers a tantalizing joint of this fragment with IGCyr0136002. In favour of this view, he mentions a similar depth of the stones, approaching heights of the letters and a common use of a dotted omicron, this last point being not very clear at IGCyr0136002. In fact, the preserved parts match well, adding to the present fragment the ends of its lines 3 to 5. Rosamilia mentions a possible difference in the shape of the glyph Ζ for 50 mines: this does not seem convincing, as in both fragments we find an oblique drawing of this character. Conversely, there is a noticeable difference between the shape of the glyph > (1 obol), which is here angular, whereas it has a lunate shape at IGCyr0136002. For that reason, we do not follow Rosamilia in his reconstruction, the more so that the present fragment was never seen again after Oliverio's publication.
