Commentary

Direct observation of both stones allowed C. Dobias-Lalou to bring together for IGCyr both fragments, published separately, the more so that fragment b) was edited only from Oliverio's transcription by Pugliese Carratelli, who did not find the stone. Although the fragments have no line in common, it was clear that fragment a) is part of the beginning, whereas fragment b) should be placed lower. Rosamilia 2023 very cleverly offered a joint, with only one whole line (here line 8) lost between both fragments. The present text is thus more comprehensive than the one provided in IGCyr. It differs slightly from Rosamilia's readings, following new checks on the squeezes by C. Dobias-Lalou.

This account had the division into two semesters, which were not inscribed in columns, contra Oliverio and SEG. The same occurs at IGCyr0134002, IGCyr0137002, IGCyr0141002, IGCyr0639002.

An abbreviation for 'drachma', already known in other places, appears in Cyrenaica only on this account (reading checked on the squeezes). It consists of a ligature of its first two letters. This is one further difference with IGCyr0141002, which Rosamilia, for various reasons, dates approximately to the same date. Both items would belong to a period of transition.

The name of the eponymous priest of this account is largely lost. Rosamilia 2018 suggested once that he might be (i.e. Pol)ydoros son of Polianthes, a priest mentioned in IGCyr0967002. This would have been chronologically acceptable. However, Rosamilia 2023 is eventually reluctant because of the dimensions of the lacuna.
