Support: Coloured marble plinth of an equestrian statue (dimensions unknown).

Layout: Inscribed on the plinth.

Letters: Height unknown.

Date: Last quarter of the fourth century BC (lettering).

Findspot: Found in 1926 at Cyrene: Sanctuary of Apollo, reused in the frigidarium of the Trajanic Baths.

Place of origin: Cyrene.

Last recorded location: Not found.

French translation

(scil. Untel fils d'Untel) a consacré aux dieux de l'agora.

English translation

(scil. So-and-so son of So-and-so) dedicated to the gods of the agora.

Italian translation

(scil. Il tale figlio del tale) ha dedicato agli dèi dell'agora.

Commentary

Although the stone was found re-used in the Roman Baths, its provenance is surely the agora, like IGCyr0199002 and IGCyr0200002, see Dobias-Lalou, BE, 2008.602, p. 761.
