Commentary

E. Rosamilia found no argument for a more tightened chronology and it is perhaps hazardous to argue with only two characters. However the shapes of both seem to C. Dobias-Lalou rather ancient and she would prefer the first part of the fourth century BC.

As pointed out by E. Rosamilia, there is at Cyrene one other instance of divine names abbreviated on a similar altar with only one letter: IGCyr1034302.
