Commentary

Line 2: for the first pair of names, 10 letters on the whole are lacking; lines 2-3, for Zenis' father's name and the lost part of [---]andridas, there is space for about 15 letters. Oliverio tentatively restored the second name as Anaxandridas, which is possible, but up to now unknown in Cyrenaica, whereas Aristandridas is attested twice in the very period of the present account (IGCyr0108002, l. 76 and IGCyr0840002, l. 91). Moreover, Rosamilia 2023 points out that we know of only two men named Zenis in Cyrene, both related with a Praxiadas and from the same family. The damiergos of this account should be one of the strategoi mentioned in IGCyr0171002.

With both lines 3 and 4 restored, Rosamilia 2023 gains a more precise account of the width of lines and therefore concludes that there is no space at line 6 for cumin.
